Since 1999, the band Shadow's Far from Swiss canton Uri has been an undisputed force in the Swiss thrash metal scene. Since then, they have played numerous concerts throughout Switzerland and Europe. Last autumn, they played some shows in Scotland and the band has a large fan base. Further Shows and Open Airs this summer are confirmed.
The song "The Raid" describes the Viking raid on Paris in 885 using stone beams and catapults and offers a perspective on the Danish attacks and the Parisian fightback.
